Henry Weinhard’s Summer Wheat

Saturday, April 28th, 2007
Henry Weinhards Summer Wheat – Ale-Oregon, USA
Found: Everywhere (Seasonal)
Alcohol Content: ?%

Herr: This beer has a clear orange-ish color, and has a citrus aroma. It has a pleasant citrus flavor with a grain/wheat undertone. Fruitiness is partially due to the coriander added to the beer. The flavor reminds me of Blue Moon ale, but Guerro does not agree. I liked this beer, it was refreshing and smooth.
Guerro:I liked this beer, although I agree it does taste similar to the Blue Moon it’s far enough away I like it. Not sure why.

Sierra Nevada Pale Ale

Saturday, April 28th, 2007
Sierra Nevada – Pale Ale-Chico, California
Found: Everywhere
Alcohol Content: 5.6%

Herr: This beer smells and appears like your standard pale ale. You can definitely taste the hops but it’s not too over powering. I’m not one for pale ales but this one is all right, plenty drinkable.

My new obsession!!!!1

Friday, April 27th, 2007

I recently purchased Guitar Hero 2. I have played that game for probably over 50 hours since I got it last friday. It has become my new purpose in life. I haven’t showered in a week. I have called in sick everyday this week. I think my cat died but I haven’t gone to check yet. It’s bad. Well none of that was true, but it has been dominating alot of my time. Being a guitar player(a shitty one but one none the less) it really is easy to catch on. I must say though I keep wanting to play the music like a gutar and sliding from note to note doesnt work. It’s hella fun though. I reccomend getting it. Im moving on to hard right now and holy hell is it hard. (more…)

Pyramid Apricot Weizen

Wednesday, April 25th, 2007
Pyramid Apricot Weizen – Ale-USA
Found: Everywhere (seasonal)
Alcohol Content: 5.1%

Herr: A whole lot of emphasis on the apricot here. Smell, color and taste all scream apricot. It’s not bad just very fruity, so it is definitely not for everyone, but I enjoyed it. You taste just a little weizen but like I said a whole lotta apricot, sweet and refreshing.

Rockstar 21

Wednesday, April 25th, 2007
Rockstar 21 – Specialty malt beverage-USA
Found: Everywhere
Alcohol Content: ??%

Herr: The second item to be added to our specialty malt beverage list. Rockstar 21 is a version of the Rockstar energy drink, just with some alcohol added. It has a brightish green/yellow color and is similar in look and smell to regular Rockstar. It tastes a lot sweeter than standard Rockstar but other than that it’s pretty similar. It’s a little too sweet if you ask me, so this isn’t something I’m going to be going for a lot, if I want booze and energy I’m going for the classic Jager Bomb.

Icehouse

Wednesday, April 25th, 2007
Icehouse – Lager-Wisconsin, USA
Found: Everywhere
Alcohol Content: 5.5%

Herr: Icehouse is a very light American lager. Light on smell, color, and flavor. Just a trace of hops and malt in the mostly carbonated water flavor. Definitely nothing special here but it’s damn cheap and a damn better choice than Budweiser.

Kokanee

Wednesday, April 25th, 2007
Kokanee – Pilsner-Creston, British Columbia
Found: Everywhere
Alcohol Content: 5.0%

Herr: Brewed from the finest yeti urine this is British Columbia’s most popular beer. Nothing too remarkable about it. It is kinda bland with just a little bit more flavor than Coors. So if you need to get your cheap drunk on and drink Coors every damn night, grab a Kokanee and live a little you ass hole.

Moosehead Lager

Wednesday, April 25th, 2007
Moosehead – Lager-New Brunswick, Canada
Found: Everywhere
Alcohol Content: 5.0%

Herr: This is a classic “green” Canadian beer. It’s basically nice lager through and through. From look to smell to taste. It is clean and just a little bitter. It’s definitely drinkable, not too bad.
Guerro: What Herr said plus it’s a cheaper alternative to Heiney.
